Way cool! I've seen a bunch these cars at Spring Fling all lined up precisely side by side, looked like an Air Force Base. :)

Shots my Son took from the stands.

The last of the Superbirds rolled off the assembly line in December of 1969. They didn't meet the new federal front bumper standards that took effect as of January 1st 1970.I believe that they were building Challenger T/A cars, and AAR Cudas about this time in 1970.

When I lived in LA back in like 83' , Cold Water Canyon area.....there was a fellow that had an orange grove......while picking a few.....I saw three Daytona's lined up in his shed......and three more as parts cars behind it...

Imagine if you had a standard 70 Road Runner, also VIN RM23 in Maryland, in the spring of 1970,I wonder if they would have refused to give you a title and tags for the car. The Superbirds had already been out since the fall of 1969,it took Maryland until April to issue the memo. I remember seeing pictures of a yellow Superbird from Maryland that had a front bumper installed on the leading edge of the nosecone, so the owner could register the car. Also the contraversal purple 70 Charger R / T SE sunroof Daytona had rear bumpers from a C2 Corvette installed on the leading edge of the nosecone so the original owner could register the car in Maryland as well.
