Anyone else apply for PPP money?

The government has handled things poorly since the inception of "government." Let's not turn this from a helpful thread into a finger-pointing **** storm.

I've been in the same position as Biomed, with the same results except for I had to delay applying for 1 week as the guidelines did not apply to me. 1 week later the guidelines are released, the next morning the funds were gone. I turned in the paperwork required for both myself and my wife, we qualified for $1106.00 total. I took it a step further and sent an angry email to Senator Lankford. That same day I received a call from Mr. Lankford , as I explained the situation that sole proprietors were in he rather hastily admitted that I was the 1st to bring that information to light.
There is no excuse for Lankford and his staff to be behind the news on this given his prestigious committee assignments.

Committee assignments[edit]

You will pay one way or another. This whole thing was handled badly for most some business. When you should have been able to go to the bank show what it cost to stay open and receive that amount of money on a monthly installment. But read fine print it there for a reason instead of small print it should be in big letters YOU WILL PAY BACK. Nothing for free

LOL @ "grading" you. It's merely a show of support more than anything else darlin. This whole situation SUCKS and I applaud all of you who are trying to save your livelihoods the only way you can: with the same passion, persistence and ethics you used to build that business in the first place.

We will not go quietly into the night.
How is the "creeping crud" aka COVID-19 affecting your business? My guess would be other than clients and potential clients not having the money right now to apply to the "artistic masterpieces" that you turn car parts into, there isn't any other reason why you can't do your work, right?

I can’t even get my $1200 stimulus money, keeps saying insufficient info at IRS website.

Hey, Leanna. I would buy a Mistress of Metal poster or 2020 Powder **** calendar to show my support.

I agree sir, I did my best to educate him and point him to a more knowledgeable organization. I will not fail,I'm not in trouble yet. I'm only trying to help others by running the gauntlet with them.

The governor has had a Stay At Home order for weeks along with the "non-essential business" shutdown. Not being able to get a straight answer from city, county or state offices has left me confused whether it's okay to be in the shop (which is By Appointment Only for several years now so walk-ins don't happen anyway).

I've gotten some work done but only one guy has paid for anything since February 19. Billy pretty much put the brakes on me on getting more done in the meantime. He foresees a bunch of non-payers and is trying to save me rework in the event it has to be sold to someone else (which, the few times I've been stiffed, can result in a color change).

It's a slippery slope and even my work boots and a spray of VHT don't provide any traction.

WOW...
I had no idea. Makes me sad to hear that.
I'll shoot you an email or call you once I confirm the fit of my Weiand intake. I know polishing is expensive but it's also very time consuming.
The Weiand sure looks great polished though...

The stay in place orders could be a lot plainer no doubt. Some of the restriction here are also ridicules'. Why can not we work in a house that has not been a home for three months. I would be tempted to chance it but the 500.00 per day fine and lose of any licensing they deem fit prevents it.
We could just move in and do the work. But the mortgage company here would consider it as abandonment of our property. If it were just the business expenses this would not be that hard to take. The business owes no one and will remain that way. It also has restricted the free money.
My take is if they were willing to deem small business non-essential they could have at least picked up our personal expense's instead of throwing chicken feed and road blocks. I need to apply for the 600 a week federal but expect road blocks there also.

Thanks. It makes me sad too but times are extraordinary and uncertain for all of us, owners and customers.

As to that six pack, look what showed up a few days ago from an old friend on the Barracuda Owners Group / FABO. His will be in a metallic silver to replicate new aluminum.

Thankful to still have plenty of work, I'm just anxious to get back to it. I don't wanna spend PSC's 13th anniversary May 31 sitting on my ***.

The governor ended the Stay At Home Order so I'm back in the groove. A couple people have paid their bill too so that helps keep the lights on. :bananadance:

Will see how the weekend goes and what the weather does. Will be out a week from now for sure.

The 3 2bbl throttle bodies are on the right hand side of the picture!
YES! I just saw that mosleyme posted updates, and I replied that the "Mistress of Metal" would do a great job. That metallic silver "new aluminum" powdercoat is something you and I talked about.
It's THAT exact Weiand P3690982 6bbl intake that I saw mocked up with the F&B 3x2 EFI direct port injection system that haunted me until I finally bought one. I've even emailed the owner a couple of times to see how the s l o w progress on his Barracuda was going. I have probably looked at every picture and read everything written about that intake on the internet. When I do a web search all of the results say "You visited this page on X/X/X"
Now that I have one, I need to go test fit it, before I get busy w/work again.
I can't wait to see the results @CudaChick1968 ! and I can't wait for mosleyme to post results for the engine performance. I think he's got it setup to flow 2,100 CFM!

Got a letter from the unemployment people today. These dam fool are now expecting payment for insurance on employees we have never had. So yes apply for the $600 promised by congress just to get screwed by the state for applying for it. I was afraid of this while filling out the application. Think I need to make a phone call Monday morning.

I got my 2nd "generic" email from the SBA about the EIDL loan application. The first generic email was to inform applicants who requested the $10K advance that they would get $1K per employee, so that's the advance I got. I'm hoping the timeframe between email and the next step is similar to last time. That should mean in about 2-3 weeks I'll know what they plan to do regarding the EIDL loan.
NOT a handout, like the PPP that I didn't qualify for.
