1964 plymouth hood spear

do you have to take the hood latch off, to get to front bolt, what size are bolts, thank ed

I had to remove my hood latch in order to remove the hood spear from my 64.

You guys with the '64's would know the drill as I wouldn't, for my '63 didn't have to remove the latch can access the nut thru an opening to reach it.

Probably 1/2 or 7/16 box wrench for the latch and a deep 3/8 or 7/16 socket and a short extension for the spear.

Don't leave the house with only one size wrench! You'll be making extra trips. LOL

take penetrating along also & take your TIME taking it off to prevent breakage !!
