833 4 speed lube amount?

Yea it is right around 4 quarts plus or minus a little depending how the car is jacked up. Just fill it level until it pukes out the top fill plug.

That sounds right, just fill it to about an inch below the filler plug.
If you want to run it low. 1970 factory service manual.

Also, for a streeter, forget anything with a 140 in it.
You might have to wait a long time for the oil to warm up enough for the synchros to work properly.

I have been using a 50/50 mix of Dextron-II, and 75/90 since 1999, in my streeter, with 100% success. The only reason I put the 75/90 in there is to protect the cluster-pin and associated needle rollers. The trans shifts like lightning with straight ATF.
BTW, with the trans installed and the car at normal ride height, it is impossible to overfill it. The lube is it's coolant, so if you spend a lot of time not in direct gear, then fill it as full as you can, when cold.
