This is a 1970 Coronet 500 with a 440. Was factory 383 HP Car and was purchased just prior to winter. Can anyone confirm what the different markings mean on the outside of the carrier. Photo attached.
Also, I want to re-torque all nuts. threads are 3/8" dia.

Does anyone know torque setting ?

2881489 is the part number it’s a “489” case.
If I’m seeing the date code correctly it looks like it was cast on the 11th day of April
Can’t help with the other markings I think the only way to nail nail down the year of it is if it has the original ring gear it should have the month day and year stamped in it.

Thanks All, great suggestion on the torque setting. Snapping one of these would not make may day.

I find the nuts strip on the carrier and axle studs.
I save SB connecting rod nuts and use them instead as they don’t strip.....

In 1970 there would have been additional color codes on the pumpkin.
