Our country may be a mess right now, but i'm still proud and thankful to be citizen of the best country ever !
On a personal note, today is my dads 93rd birthday. He joined the navy at 17, during ww2, and was in the army, in Korea. Time to celebrate ! Happy 4th everyone !

Appreciating that I'm in "the country" to some degree, and not in a concrete and steel metropolis.

Very nice! My next major purchase is a small place on a lake in northern Maine. As a kid I spent every 4th at my grandparents camp in Millinocket, ME.

The "kids", even "old man dog" having fun. Hard to get old dog out of the pool, he's really "retrieve driven".
Between my brother in law and us we have 5 Lab/Lab mixes and 2 mini pigs. The black Lab puppy is his daughter's dog, brother of the yellow Lab puppy. They're having a blast!
