The overpaid athletes thread and the cost of products due to endorsements and sponsorship's as pointed out by another member got me thinking.

Limited to one choice/series only! I know there are many to choose from but let's see if we can come to some consensus.

My choice: The half motorcycle half man commercials. Suck! They do!

All of the incredibly stupid Liberty Mutual commercials. And, as a Mopar fan, especially the ones with the yellow Duster that has the cop car light on top.....

I'd say that all the Progressive commercials are dumb. The Flo character has long run her usefulness.

Oh! Hold on there, #1, any company without it’s head up it’s *** or making some obtuse maneuver in creative money madness is t going to “Overpay” anyone. If the person says there not doing a spot for them for anything less than 1 million, and then gets it is good for them and shame on the company. If a company puts themselves in a bad money position due to the above, then shame on them. I don’t know how you think the purchase price of a product would go up because of the famous face behind the pitch. That to me that is insane.

What's worse are all the drug Comercials..and they tell you all the potential side effects that are worse than what it's trying to cure.

Any and All pharmaceutical commercials, you know the ones where the side effects are worse than the disease. Or it's all rainbows and unicorns and theirs no clue WTF their advertising.

I haven't had cable TV in 15 years, and have not watched any TV for just about as long. I do watch a bit of Netflix from time to time but that is about it. So can't contribute effectively.

Guy I know had a dumb commercial for his night club. Asked him why such a dumb commercial, his response "Everybody is talking about it. He had some great bands there, other clubs hired those bands after he brought them in from Boston, NY and NJ.
