Front Plate Pile-It program Ca

We will most likely NEVER see something like this in N.J., we are just too corrupt! LOL
:asskiss:
The current lines over 1/4 mile long at motor vehicle centers are being enjoyed by every one!:bananadance::lol:

OK? cool, I guess? Good Luck

DMV is Ellis Island with a Taco truck. We’ve added Welfare enrollment though. And signs in 10 languages. Just like our ancestors were welcomed. Most prisoners were released for Covid so less plates stamped out.

There is a parking lot in Garden City, NY where you have to park face in with the rear out, so they can ride by and scan your plate. If you don't it's a $10 fine, I know now how to park there. If you have only rear plate and park face out they can't scan you. Another money making scheme from people not aware of this. There are signs but not too significant.

Same in San Jose. County lot. Don’t back in.

When I lived in northern VA, the state required both plates (because they loved their
photo radar, even way back in the early 80's).
As a result, I never ran a front plate...on anything.
I can remember a stray cop giving me crap about it here and there, but no tickets for it
ever; I'd just tell them I was waiting on the bracket for it to come in stock or some such
bull.
I even caused a slight bruhaha about it once in the part of the county I lived in....
Round about the mid-80s, the county had gotten their first photo radar unit (with deluxe
flash!) and had stationed it on a deserted stretch of US Hwy 1, unannounced to the public.
It was one of those that had the big digital two-place readout on it.
I came by there one day, road deserted and me not paying much attention, when there was
suddenly a FLASH.
What the heck? I turned around to investigate....and found the thing, hiding in the bushes
just off the side of the road.

Well, you do the math....
Instant speed readout you could see, no front tag on the ol' GLH Turbo.....
This monkey had found a new toy! :)
I kept going by it until it read "99" and figured that was good as it was going to get, then
went home.
Later on the next day, I was watching the evening news and sure enough, there was a story
on the cops' new toy - along with a picture of me in my car doing 99mph!
They were asking the public to help identify....which nobody ever did, thankfully.
Seems everyone else resented those dang contraptions as much as I did.

I’m on the phone. They are still looking. Reward...

We never put the bracket on the front of this car.

In fact, the dealer installed paper registration is still in the windshield lower right hand corner to this day!

Dealer unfortunately ruined the nose of the wife's Challenger as part of their prep and with the Bird I made it though 3 weeks in 1990 before getting pulled over for no front plate. One of only Two wing cars at the 50th reunion with a front plate. Other car was from Ontario as well. Vinyl would be nice up here... in front plate required land.

I only put the front plate on the truck to hide a gap between the bumper and the plastic air dam. In 2011, I rear ended a guy and replaced the bumper with a used one...That I learned had a slight bend in it. I'd love to add a SRT 10 type front bumper cover:

Those were cleaner looking than the steel and plastic stuff my truck has:

I heard a phony report on the radio years ago that said something like “as of 1/1/10, front plates will no longer be required in NJ”. So on that date, I removed the front plates on both of our daily drivers. Well about 3 years later, my wife was stopped and the officer asked her to just remount the front plate - no ticket or fine. I remounted them on our DDs, but not for my GTX or Barracuda. I have never been asked by anyone to put them on the front (they both have the Mopar year plates on their fronts).

I have a 2010 Challenger and bought a bracket that mounts underneath bumper and keeps plate off the bumper.

That would be better, but not possible on the Wife's due to it's "magic eye" (adaptive cruise control) in the center of the lower grill!

That plate with that adapter is now about 9' from the ground and 81/2" below the top of the bumper. Well below the grille.
