the blower motor works but blows poorly is there a better and stronger blower motor that can be used?

Does it work on all three settings?

Have you checked the switch?

How about the resistors?

Welcome from Missouri!!!! Probably blower motor resistor.

where is the blower motor resistor located and you are saying the blower motor resistor can cause poor performance even though all 3 speeds work thank you

Not sure on your car, but, check on the inside of the heater box by the blower fan.

I'm betting it is not the resistor but the fact that your blower motor is pushing 60 years old. They get dirty and dried out causing them to run slow and use a lot of current. Usually causes melted wires and connectors along the way if you run it on high for any amount of time. I would pull the blower motor out and have it cleaned and refurbished by a electric motor shop or find a new one. By the way.........Welcome to FBBO from WI

What are you comparing the blower output to? The blower cages are only about 3" across. Pretty small for much force.

We had this discussion on another channel. I just stripped a Dart cowl and found a mouse nest in the blower case. The motor and squirrel cage were perfect but I bet the think didn't blow air worth a damn. You may have something like that going on.
