There is no "fear" of scarce lumber. It is not in the yards period. You can't buy a stick of PT in Ontario if you tried and hell we're the biggest producer. Everyone stuck at home and "hey, lets get that reno done".
you can keep the wood I'll take the trailer for $300! my friends who are contractors told me they couldn't even buy deck screws never mind plywood!Man here in the North of BC I just drive out to one of the lumber mills and buy all the lumber I need at a 3rd of the price of the box stores.
Just picked up a bunch of rough cut cedar 2x12's for shop shelving a few weeks ago, along with 12' 4x4 hemlock posts...everything for under $300!

3/4 plywood was 50 bucks a sheet and 2x4-s reg were 8 bucks apiece yesterday at my local business.
Exactly......just last week at my friends shop we were out side and I said see that black cloud up there, it's been following me around for years, this was right after the new fuel pump we replaced in my Dakota failed for the 2nd time and had to have it towed to his shop. And last week I bought a new in the box garage door opener off of Marketplace and got it home opened the box and there were a pair of used rubber gloves, the carriage was broken in half the remote was gone and the wall control unit was also gone and the chain was covered in grime. So much for new in the box, should have opened it before I left his place. I have more......weather is to be clear sky's for the rest of the week. Wish me luck.
