Exterior color KL8

Hello All. I was fortunate tto be able to buy a 74 Road Runner that was shown on here a few months ago from a Canadian seller. Not easy to get it back here to Michigan but is here now and actually much nicer than I expected, with a price to match. It has a fresh repaint back to the original color, KL8, Dark Moonstone Metallic, but the thing is, I honestly cannot ever remember seeing one painted this color before. I have had Road Runners since 73, currently have seven 73-74's, and no matter where I go, first thing I hear is I have never seen that color before, including me. Anyone out there have or have had one, or maybe have more details on the paint? It is, I think, and attractive color so I just don't know.

Always thought moonstone was black w alot of metal flake. Maybe its the lighting , but appears a brown hue on yours. More pics of it would help. Unusual color for sure, congrats!

Thanks to all that replied. I appreciate the information. Yes, it is a 360 car with black bucket interior, no console, working am radio which surprised me. It's showing 14k miles and although I am sure that isn't original, I am positive it hasn't been around based on wear patterns on so many of the parts, and comparing it to my other ones.
