Books

Pretty much comic books. Dennis the Menace had the most impact/commonality to me.

MoPar Engines 9th Edition,

MoPar Chassis 9th Edition

MoPar Hemi Engines

MoPar Magnum Engines 2nd Edition

all from MoPar Performance
all have interesting & great stuff,
all are a bit older now, but still great relative information

My favorite (and maybe my first) childhood book may help to explain why I first bracket raced a tiny 273 instead of a larger displacement small block:

Mad and Cracked magazine. I will forever be a smartass.

For iron built and others. A James Patterson book, “Texas Ranger”. Sitting high above.

The Douglas Adams "Hitchhiker" series:
The Hitcher's Guide to the Galaxy"
The Restaurant at the End of the Universe
Life the Universe and Everything
So Long and Thanks for All the Fish

Any book by Patrick McManus:
They Shoot Canoes, Don't They
Never Sniff a Gift Fish
The Night the Bear Ate Goombaw
A Fine and Pleasant Misery
Real Ponies Don't Go Oink

The Auto Trader "Old Car Book"

Two books that I thought had a profound impact on the way I view things were the "I Hate Cats" books 1 & 2. But now that I own a barn that came with a cat, I'm not so sure. The cat seems to be very likable.

Haven't done much more than hot rod magazines for years. But back in the day, I really enjoyed, and found disturbing Orwell's 1984, Kafka's The trial, Helter Skelter, and almost any H.P. Lovecraft. Lord of the rings trilogy.

Just finished reading "Failure is not an option " by Gene Krantz. If you like the space program it's an interesting read.

"Whistling Death". Written by the gentleman who was the main test pilot for the Corsair.

"The year of the jeep ". Read that many years ago .

Have had a few “beverages “ and thinking about books. My part-time job years ago was assembling bookmobiles, bloodmobiles, police command posts. Delivered a bookmobile to Lisbon, Oh.; quaint old town in east central Ohio. Walked in to their old library and the smell just hit me, gotta love the old musty smell of old paper! The ‘old’ readers will appreciate.

“Homecoming” by John Bradshaw. This deals with getting your inner self (or child) to work with you instead of against you. If you sit down and go thru the worksheets it can be quite an experience.

Finally read “Atlas Shrugged”, it was good and I usually don’t read fiction.

Of all the books I have read, there is no common theme. Everything from western to science fiction. But the book that stands out is God Is My Co-Pilot.

I am extremely sorry to have missed this one from 5 yrs ago. 'Code of Conduct' by Brad Thor. It sounds like a current time thread for virus & govt conduct. This going to public library is crazy anymore, touch a book to look at copyright date; can't put it back on shelf for someone else (like ghostrider67) that I know LOVES reading!

Nobody read Butterworth's racing books?

AKA WEB Griffin?
Fast Green Car
Crazy to Race
Wheel of a Fast Car
Etc
