I'd say that through family adoption etc. that a Willys is a Mopar. Always loved driving through Toledo and seeing the old smoke stack that said "Overland" on it. This is for sale over at Hemmings. Great looking rod from my perspective. Looks like a Mopar colour too:

I expect the same guys that were whining about the LS swap into a charger are going to jump in and start sobbing that only Willys engines should be in a Willys car...
Eh, they all should have Cummins power! :D

I remember years ago when I was a member of the Daytona Superbird Club that a guy name Kingman Hitz from Utah put a 426 hemi into an AC Cobra (replica I think). We all thought that was great fun and a bit of a snub at Ford. As I recall Kingman got pulled over doing 180 mph in the car (circa 1980 or so).

Waste of a Hemi imo lol. I like the Cobras but man, I like to be able to handle somewhat too and all that weight on the front end does nothing for that let alone go 180 with that combo. To each their own I guess. I always thought the 427 in one was overkill too...,.

Not a bad looking buggy & would be a fun driver, me personally I've always been a sucker for a nice gasser willys with a 392 & hillborns or blower poking through the hood.
The color I could take or leave but it seems to work well with this look & stance.

willys is/was jeep, jeep is mopar/hemi's are mopar, keep willys hemi's

Price isn't too crazy "yet", even for a Fiberglass :poke: catalog car
a tad different with a SB Chrysler/904tf, funky 2x4bbl cross-ram 'adapters'
current bid $36k (reserve not met), less than $40k for any decent 41 Willys
is generally a good value, most are overpriced, like $80k+
