If you had a zillion dollars where would you choose to live?

Where is the US and where in the world?

Some might choose a penthouse in NYC but I would rather be on top of a lonely mountain in Colorado.

In the world, maybe in New Zealand where they filmed the Lord of the Rings stuff.

As I enter retirement I think about this stuff.

In the US... Maine or northern NH. In the world... Scotland or Switzerland.

I'd just put "floor heat" in so I didn't have to plow snow anymore ! :canada:

How many acres of that is yours, Wayne? That's beautiful!

As high up in the Rockies as possible and still stay alive so that when the Earth has a Crustal Displacement the resulting continental & global water displacement wave will wash past me. Anywhere else in the world is going to be wiped out below about 9000 feet elevation.

Parris Island, S.C.. The govt is talking about closing it. I'll buy it.

Scotland, maybe an outlying island off the coast of Scotland.

With that kind of money people would not like me one bit. Yes it would displace hundreds of thousands.

I would like to live at the controls of A10 Warthog flying over the Isis ! Where ever they live !

Too bad Im to old for that ****:bananadance:

Either...
Were I live now (beach front...West Sussex South Coast UK)...but with a bigger house with a bigger shop so I don't have to rent one two miles away for.my projects....or...
On a rocky cliff top in a village down on Cornwalls North Coast....Rocky and rugged like Scotland....but a much nicer climate.....I go there one or twice every year and it's definitely top of the list for retirement locations.....or
A small island off the coast of Scotland....Outer Hebrides or Shetland islands....but only in the Summer....way too bloody cold and windy to live up there in winter.
I was lucky enough to travel the World when I was young....not found anywhere id rather live than the UK...that said the Solomon Islands were nice...all the climate and surf of the Caribbean...without so many tourists and no hurricanes! Hawaii also appeals....but never visited....maybe one day.

After I bought it, built a wall around it, evacuated ALL the people there, Washington D.C.
