My Wife and I were in Mazatlan about eight years ago on a cruise and as we were disembarking the ship
to go do our thing, they had a 15 piece Mariachi greeting us as we got off. I play Guitar, so I was mezmerized
and I couldn't leave. I stayed there for about twenty minutes and listened to them until they stopped.
I had Goosebumps. They sounded terrific live! Thanks!!!!

only in your home page, not mine, anyway, cielito lindo, one of the classical songs for mariachi, from Mexico to the world, so many Beautiful things to hear, to see, to visit, to eat, in my country, those who have been here know that we are friendly people, and if any off you stop by near where I live know that you already have a home here in my house, thanks Roger for posting this, I wonder why am I the only Mexican here? Being the b bodies so popular around the world?

I really love Mazatlan.
If I could be Mexican, I would be. I’ve been to Mazatlan like six times. Not to go to a resort, but to live. Beautiful place. Fantastic happy people. Excellent, healthy food. Coolest cats ever...
Was talking with my buddy who’s place we stay at today, wife and I are hoping to go in March. Depends on covid, and how flights are routed, but we are anxious to get there.
Oh yeah, they also have a great car culture there. Scariest street race I ever saw was in Mazatlan. Modern Mustang and some other car. Both extremely modified. You could hear them wind up blocks away and they came flying down our residential street way over 100mph. Was like having NHRA pro stock finals in your neighbourhood.
I freakin love Mexico.

Mariachi is typically characterized by a small group of musicians dressed in traditional clothing who perform a wide repertoire of Mexican songs on mostly stringed instruments (the term Mariachi can refer to either the music or the musicians themselves). During a session held the week of November 22, 2011 UNESCO inscribed Mariachi on its Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
The Mariachi tradition was born in west-central Mexico around the turn of the 19th century, though its exact origins remain unknown. At first, the genre was strictly instrumental, composed of the sounds of stringed instruments, and eventually vocals and the trumpet were added to the mix. In modern times, Mariachi music has been combined with elements of diverse genres from jazz to reggae. Singers often add in their best grito to express the emotion of the vibrant music! No matter the variation, Mariachi remains a strong representation of Mexican history and culture.

...spending summers in Juarez then walking over to El Paso for shopping then back over to Juarez for lunch didn’t seem all that bad as a kid...then back to El Paso for more shopping of course....of course been about 30 years since then....also....been about 30 years since ive seen the best lightning storm of my little life....

My mother and father had been to Mexico so many times, they should have had a town named after them, they loved it!! I have never been, but, one of my daughters has lived there off and on for years because of a family business her husband has in Mexico.
