some of you will remember the story that broke last year,
about the 3 rare mopar cars in the garage with the broken door.
a daytona,a roadrunner,and a superbee.
at the time,i posted that it may have been the find of the Year.
unfortunately, the topic owners did a lot of strange posting,
and the topic ending up going like 26 pages of back n forth.
which led to quite a bit of controversy.

fast forwards to this year, and the Hemi Daytona has been Saved!
one of the members over on dodge charger forum managed to buy it.
from what ive seen of his shop, hes deffo the guy to handle bring this car back to life.

also in the mix,was " good " old galen govier.
turns out the owner had found out galen had his broadcast sheet,
which was sent to him for free,by someone who found it in their car.
he asked galen to hold onto it for him,so it wouldnt get lost/this was 2006.

the new owner got the car, contacted galen,
only to find out galen Wants 25 Thousand Dollars for the broadcast sheet the original owner asked him to " hold " .
apparently the storage costs for a broadcast sheet for 14 years are quite high.
there is a happy ending to the story tho,
as the new owner managed to find another copy of the sheet under a seat.

heres the link to the daytona and stories.

Greed kills and Karma's a bitch! 16 years I've been waiting on Govier for my Bird paperwork. Bob J needs to buy a lottery ticket after finding another sheet in the car, but that find couldn't have been sweeter against the extortionist!

Govier is a piece of **** if that is how he works. Mr. I wanna preserve the hobby only wants to get rich. I understand selling books and such for your research, but to hold someone's sheet ransom for more than a few bucks shows how much of a douche he really is.

There's a word we use down these parts to describe people who do this sort of ****.....starts with a 'C' and rhymes with punt.

I thought Galen still had some integrity....obviously once again I am wrong.

It was the way that the OP on that thread at DC carried on that made people mad. The car becoming known about was cool, and the old stories about it also cool...but the OP led such a weird dance around his/her/it's own personal circumstances, that it really got under some people's skin (so to speak)

I am pleased to hear that the car has found a great home and will be treated with respect that it deserves.

id say you are rarely wrong,Roger, but noones perfect lol.

as far as truth, this came from bob J`s post and i have no reason to disbelieve a member like that.
i was kind of hoping they would pursue criminal charges against galen.
it would be sweet karma for all the mopar guys hes f...screwed over.

Screw Galen. Its sad to think so many worship him but I think those numbers are fading.

So that bird in the back with the multi 70's colors looks like the guy that had Graveyard Carz redo his 2 birds. Did he sell that to this Bob J guy? Also, the white one and the orange one also maybe his cars he sold to him? he looks to have an extensive collection for sure! Beautiful cars!

There's a guy in my neck of the woods that's deals similar to Galen. When you own something, it's crap until this guy gets his hands on it and then all of a sudden it's gold! I sold him a 440 Cuda body maybe 15+ years ago but didn't know I was actually dealing with him because he sent his lacky to make the deal and hammer me in the head. This went on over a period of time then when a deal was struck, here comes the real new owner to pick it up with his nice big truck and trailer. Now he thinks I talk bad about him but I just talk about how he deals.....and if he thinks that's talking bad about him, then quit making deals like that.

"allegedly" there's way, way too many stories about people paying
& never getting what they paid for, still backlogged

Galen is something I won't say on a public access forum
(it's not a good thing either)

I'm glad people are seeing the light, finally

moral of the story, avoid like the plague/Wuhan Flu Plandemic

Oh man, I remember that whole weird-assed thread. The one with the lesbians, right?
So much did not make sense to their story - and obviously, the writer/poster LOVED
stirring and instigating and thought themselves the smartest in the room, which eventually
overcame my own curiosity about the possibility of rare cars....

I simply didn't want to invest any more time trying to dissect what the hell was real,
what was simple attention-whoring and all the dust and clutter that wound up surrounding
the whole thing.

More like an octogenarian tranny and it's love interest.....or SO as she was affectionately referred to as.

I agree you should never hold Paper work or Fender Tags Hostage on a deal. Wrong in so many ways. They should stay with the car. So many people have taken the fun out of our Hobby.

yes, but, fair warning, this thread was a trainwreck from the start.
some content has been removed.

if you dont like drama, underwear discussions and 5.0 mustangs, dont go on that thread.
stick with the thread i posted up top

Some people go home, late at night, and curl up on the couch with a glass of wine and a good book. Me? I grab a bottle of whiskey and specifically seek out train wreck threads on message boards. Other than what I see in the shower, out of control threads are the only things in life that can get me to laugh out loud...
