Keep the internet connection only and get a Firestick. Easy to program. Tons of movies and shows

If I had a decent internet connection I'd of done it years ago! I Love how your bill continues to increase until you bitch and threaten to cancel. Then miraculously they have a deal for you! 440'

DO it! sooner the better. With the streaming services you can add or subtract anytime with out penalty or added fees. Much bettter that cable.

Internet + Firestick + Netflix. And if you do much buying from Amazon, buy Amazon "Prime". You'll get some decent programming and free Amazon shipping.

I've got Comcast and two years ago I had to actually cancel my service for a week so
I could go back and get a promo rate. A Comcast guy told me that customers can always
up, but not down in service packs. It's time for me to do the Cancelation thing again.
They all suck! They originally said that if we let cable in, there would never be any
commercials. Now there's more commercials than ever!

Used to have Spectrum bundle (tv-internet-phone). They kept bumping the price, so I bumped the bundle and kept internet. Do landline now with google voice box (one time cost of $30). Since I have an older Pioneer plasma, using a Roku stick. If you want to replicate many of the cable tv offerings, Sling does it through Roku for $30/mo. With Roku you can also cast or mirror from PC/smartphone. Most sports and movies are streamed for free. Cut bill from $230+ to less than $100/mo.

Roku, then add any special channels you want. A lot less than cable was and more channels.

I cable cut and kept internet.

my bill was $230. A month for Tv and internet. I cable cut and picked up a fire stick, then signed up for sling at $50. A month(with all of their extra channels). I have a family and I’m not 80 so I needed to get the extras. Sling doesn’t have motortrend but I am a motortrend on demand sub so it wasn’t a big deal.

so now I pay $110. A month all in. Keep in mind I have 1gig internet connection at $60. A month, comes with a complimentary HBO max sub too!

My bill was $230, now $110. The only channel I lost was att SportsNet....fair trade for $120 a month.

The amazon fire stick is easy, get the voice activated one.

your cable provider type apps are below:

sling. I chose this, had all stations I watch. $50. A month
Philo. (Cheap but a lot less channels than competitors)
Fubo big for sports $65. A month
YouTube tv has everything you would expect from cable. $65. A month
Hulu live $65 a month

Hope this helps.

How do you get over 40 channels with the rabbit ears... sounds nice but I’d loose my dang internet and my little guys school is on it and my dang cell phones... I’d like to go back to the simple days!

I get about 75 channels on my antenna, in the LA area. 50 of them are in a foreign f-ing language, and of the twentyfive left, ten are shopping channels. Of what is left, i watch maybe three, on a regular basis.

Still better than paying for, I’m a AM radio fan,1120KMOX , and I lost my two other favs that were 1190 & a oldies.. sounds so good playing thru my tube radio... I just like good radio am or fm and good tv limited bs!

Yes tube radios are the best! 1961 Chrysler golden tone for the win!

I ditched the Dish thru DirecTV years ago already

And like stated , when I threatened to cancel they didn’t want to do a damn thing for me until I canceled, and then it was even more miserable trying to return everything when I called on the phone

So now we rely on Spectrum Internet for everything - Running wireless thru the whole house - Older TVs with either Roku Sticks added or Roku Smart TVs throughout

Problem now is Spectrum continually raising the monthly price of Internet Service

Started at $49.95 per month years ago , now at $74.99 per month
Call them every once in awhile , nothing , absolute zero customer service

And we lose our internet or drop it weekly sometimes for a few hours , few occasions over 24
Yes weekly

I have been told by more then a few it’s best to pay a local visit in person to a Spectrum office versus over the phone

if you have a 4g or 5g phone with good reception (and unlimited data plan), you can "tether" the phone to make it a wifi internet connection for your TV/video game console/etc. Add over-the-air (free tv) and maybe a digital video recorder if you record network shows, or subscribe to a streaming service.
I tried it and it sort of worked when I could get good cell reception, but some movies would run at lower res because of the lower internet speed (4G).
With 5G speed may not be an issue?
My house is in the worst spot on the block for cell reception, and with the wife and kids, and grandkids all using internet, I had to get the cable high speed internet.
If it was just me, I would be fine with using the cell phone tether method, and not pay for any cable service.

If you do cut the proverbial cord
stay away from anything
Amazon (owned), Netflix, Google (owned), Youtube
or any Alphabet Networks another media monopoly
don't feed the beast

Cut the cord and get rid of everything. I did 7 years ago, now most of my anger issues have gone away. I'm 57 years old and watched censorship do a 180. When I was young bad things were censored, sexual violence, profanity, and blood violence. Now they censor people who speak the truth... the world has become a not so good place since we lost censorship of bad things and the www. I don't miss tv now I listen to am radio and I'm much happier than listening to the lies and propaganda on the boob tube
