I posted this on my build thread but figured I would add it here too; This is the only pic I have of my first car, a 1973 Charger SE Super Blue, black vinyl top and blue interior with buckets and center console. It came originally with a 400 and 727 but, a PO installed a ‘69 440HP motor in it. I paid $800.00 for it back in 1990. I added an 8 3/4 from a cuda and 4.10’s. The car was ziebarted early on and had very little rust; the usual in the lower driver’s quarter and a small spot on the top of the passenger’s fender. I didn’t like the Super Blue paint at the time so, I stripped it with aircraft paint stripper and sprayed it with black primer. I was way ahead of the curve on painting cars flat black . I had a lot of fun with that car as a dumb teenager! I can remember the day this photo was taken. I left my car at my friends house after a long night of drinking and got a ride home from another friend. I had to work early the next day. A bunch of us had plans to drive up to the speedway in New Hampshire later that same day to run the 1/4 mile track. I was to meet my friends up thereafter work. My buddy had a ‘70-something Firebird with a built 396, and a couple of others had ricers, Supra and Nissan Z. If you look closely at the pic, you can see a quart of oil on the hood, passenger’s side, leaning against the windshield. My buddy left it there for me in case I needed to top off before the ride up to New Hampshire (from Massachusetts). Another fun fact about this is my buddy lived (where this pic was taken) a few houses down from the guy I purchased this car from. My grandmother also lives (to this day) about a half mile down on this same street. I wish I knew then what I know now. This was way before the internet and info on these 3rd generation Chargers was scarce. I definitely would have kept this car:(. I still have the engine and tranny.

.....my first car, a 1973 Charger SE.....[/ATTACH]

Have you ever seen the movie "Out Cold" 2001? There's a 1973 Dodge Charger SE in it. Your pic of your Charger reminded me of it. Although in the movie they have a snow plow attached to it lol. I don't think they show it being in use during the movie, it was awhile ago since I seen it. Here's a pic.

Holy crap!! looks identical except for the wheels (and plow). I never saw that movie. Thanks for posting!

So many good looking B Bodies on this thread. Here's my contribution.

This is my 72 Satellite Seabring. (The Banana) Its going under a full resto-mod. I just installed a new create 408 Stroker engine, rebuilt the 904, painted under the hood and a ton of other work. Just got her on the road after months of work. You can follow my build thread here.

Wow. I grew up in Mass too and my first car was a 73 Charger SE. Blue with white vinyl top, buckets, and slap stick console. She was only a 318 car but I worked it all over our winding backroads!

Your comment about the oil left on the hood by a buddy got me all sentimental. I used to leave my car parked at the local McDonald's whenever I was out bombing around with a larger group. One cold winter night, they dropped me off at my car and there was a note on the steering wheel. Another buddy who's car had broken down had sought refuge from the cold in my car for a bit. He left a couple cigarettes in the ash tray, rewound my Pink Floyd cassette tape, and wrote down which route he was walking home in case I got back in time to find him and give him a ride lol. He's gone now...but it is a nice memory.

Awesome cars, guys! A lot of inspirational stuff on here. I'm getting pretty fired up for the spring and the return of car shows. Here's a couple recent shots of my GTX...Redid the interior 2 years ago, suspension upgrades last year, 440 a few years back, etc. 550hp/570tq. Can't wait for summer...
