Wanted to go back to a more stock appearance. Replaced Torker II with 71 stock intake and added dual snorkel. It’s on a 74 RR. I know it’s not year 74 correct but close enough. I went with the 71 intake, because it’s considered one of the best Mopar ever made.

Here is what it used to look like

What made the 71 the best one??

Love your car. I worked at Woodbridge Chrysler Plymouth in Woodbridge Va and remembered when those roadrunners were brand new. Brings back good memories

The 3512501 intake was used on 4 barrel 440's in 1971 only. 1971 was one of the last years before "smog" equipment began to find it's way into intake manifold design, and this particular casting is generally considered to be the best flowing stock intake available. Visually, (port shape & size, etc) this intake has the most similarities with aftermarket aluminum dual plane intakes such as Edelbrock's performer.

Could save the weight and find a Mopar CH4B but that’s me

I’m not drag racing, so a few extra pounds isn’t going to make a difference. Plus I had clearance issues with the dual snorkel and the Torquer II I took off. That’s why I went with stock because I wanted to ensure the dual snorkel fit. There was only one inch difference in height between the Torker II setup and stock yet that was enough to not allow the dual snorkel to fit on the Torker.
