A hundred years of gas prices corrected for inflation

Hey 33 IMP, bet your running better with that az diesel too, no "additives per "CALI EMMISIONS STANDARDS". What Cali does, NJ sure to follow very quickly, unfortunately. OXYGENATED winter blend gas was terrible.

Rollin coal down Rt 73

I'm not sure what the cash price is, but with my fleet discount it's $2.36 in Greensboro, N.C. and $2.24 in Rock Hill, S.C. My discount can vary from $0.20 to $0.60 a gallon, depending on the station.
I remember when it got crazy expensive a few years ago. How many gallons does your rig hold?

275 gallons. 125 on the driver's side and 150 on the passenger's side. The beginning of summer I was paying $1.55 a gallon at the T/A in Baltimore. It felt like 1989 all over again. Joe will take good care of those prices, don't you worry. $5.00 a gallon isn't far away.

Last summer I bought a lot on 91 for less then 2 bucks

Location, location, location.
On my last trip back to socal, i filled up about 25 miles from the cali border, diesel for $1.79. Up to $1.90 now, from $1.69 before the election. Two miles into california, in needles, diesel was $4.69. At least that price hadn't gone up since bidengate.
Here at home, 91 10% catpee premium is $3.75, and diesel is about $3.60.
Still runnin on az diesel i brought back.
Got diesel for $3.25 in Placerville last week.

Cheapest places have be in the high $2s for regular for a while, but that was a couple weeks ago

My last time in Kalifornia, I paid $3.59 a gallon for diesel in Patterson at the Flying J.

It will kick us in the balls again if/when that happens

gas prices prices a prolly gunna skyrocket; but that’s just supply and demand, little to do with politics

Supply is gunna be tiny unless they ramp up super fast, while stored fuel is being eaten up.

there is little market incentive; they’ll only start putting money back into wells operations after prices go up and there’s money to be made, and then usually a lag before it gets to market while upward prices continue. that’s my understanding of it; am not in the sector, just from business news

So yeah could see $5 gas, but seems like it has little to do with Joe...

Orange County is rich republicans

Silicon Valley is hella rich libertarians

inland and the foothills is pretty conservative

Pockets of take your pick everywhere

How much is that there?

Sorry man; sucks big time.

I’m prolly not gunna have much time with mine after it is rolling before prices spike

Thinking I may do efi, a truck/tow cam, & freeway gears if gas gets crazy; should get like 20-25 mpg hwy

Here it’s 2 something, got up 4 & 5/gal back then

if you look the chart, price dramatically dropped when Obama got elected, and had skyrocketed under Bush.

but being fair it had little to do with either of them.

Prices went up with demand in the developing countries like India; Bush didn’t have anything to do with that

Prices dropped steeply with Obama, but same thing. Demand fell with the Great Recession, he didn’t have anything thing to do with that’s either

we give leaders too much credit for world events; good and bad

In the 15 years I've run my current truck, I've noticed what seems to be a sweet spot in the cost of my diesel (all purchased in Pennsylvania). You get fleet discounts, I get company fuel surcharges passed through, I seem to do best, and the economy as a whole when I'm paying about $4.00 per gallon. My steel mill customers serve the fracking industry (pipe and drill bits) , and I'm starting to see their waste volumes edging up, indicating the surviving drillers are getting ready for an increase in fuel pricing. I'm waiting for the current level of federal spending to trigger fuel price inflation, which will leave me running my wheels off.

Looks like gas is $2.18 here.
