Hello All !
New here but have been a mopar guy since I went to Talladega in 1970 and saw Ricard Petty's 43 Superbird on track.
I just bought a 69 Coronet 440 ( body style ) with a #'s matching 383 engine & trans.
On the fender tag there is the "A40" option which decodes to " 1969 only dodge spring special B package "
Does anyone know what that is ?
Thanks for any help on this !

GG white books says "same as A39 except V1" (vinyl roof) not included

Welcome aboard from NJ. Sounds nice butttttttttttttttt:::::::::::
:xscuseless:

Welcome from Alabama, did the rest of the car survive as well as the fender tag. :)

WH 23 G9E is not a Bee, but can be made one easily.

Welcome from NY.
Do you have the whole car or just a fender tag?
Hard to tell without ------ PICTURES!

Welcome from Ontario. A friend has one of these and did it up as a Superbee clone. We call it his Wanna Bee.

Welcome from Missouri!

OP said it's a 440 model.

Apparently a 383-2.

Still cool.

Here are some pics of the car.
I am the 3rd owner. The guy I bought it from said he thinks the original owner added the vinyl top.
I did see the A40 option said it also came with the light package and 3 speed wipers which the car has.
Another thing is it has the rear defroster option.

Yes it started out as a 383-2 but one of the guys before me put an edelbrock 383 performer intake and 4 bbl carb.
I am guessing then that they also changed the exhaust manifolds as they are the HP ones not the logs I think it would have come with.
Also the engine should be turquoise I think not orange.
Oh and about that wing on the trunk, it is how do they say it ? Wing Delete !
I am leaning toward the wrap around stripe though
