69 Bee trunk emblem

Finally got my deck lid on and got my new bumblebee emblem. There are two holes in the Decklid. When I put the bumblebee on only the lower peg is accessible to put a nut on. Does anybody know how to get the nut on the upper peg that is hidden by the understructure of the trunk?

I think they used some sort barrel clip...
