Truckers truly own the roadway

It’s a sick feeling when a four wheeler causes a accident.. someone is going to lose real bad, road construction areas are the worst. Folks dodging in and out caused a pair of Tt to collide at a high rate of speed I hauled it in. The trans was sitting in the back near the front tandem and driver was DOA . Changed my mind on construction zones permanently. I couldn’t get the TT separated as the bunk was bound into the trailer . It blew the gears out of the case, engine was between the seats etc.. see the carnage and you’ll be shocked .Please be safe and don’t cut off Tractor trailers , not being ridiculous here but I’ve seen some bad ones and sometimes it’s other circumstances that causes it .. 40 ton or more is hard to handle in a pickle.

There are a lot of good truck drivers out there... And a few idiots... Just like everything in life....
Thing about driving truck, no one notices the guys doing it right but they sure do notice the guys doing it wrong....

You know my record Roger, I haven't had a ticket or an accident in over 30 years. Yet just like you, I get lumped in with the steering wheel holders that have their foot on the dash and their face in their phone.
For anyone that thinks that truckers are the problem, start paying attention to the 4 wheelers around you.

Oregon had a 55 limit when I lived there and it worked great.. I "heard" it is 60 now? Kept all of the "rigs" in the right lane...

Who said anything about a governor??? I said a Speed Limit, like Oregon had/has for DECADES....
 
..Deeres new biggest beast base price, no header. We bought a new combine in 2007 for $207,000. Look at what they have done now... more then doubled since then. Seriously truck drivers that have made a living with oversized loads are some of the most skilled operators in the world, I have met several that made a incredibly hard job look easy.

And those new machines are good for about 4000 hours before the DPF filter is clogged and then you are in for major problems. Keep your pre-emissions combine as long as you can. I have picked up more than my share of new equipment that won't even run and brought it in for repairs.
