Speaking from experience, you could not restore a project car for that amount. I sold my '64 Polara 500 convertible 4 years ago for more. I figure I broke about even on $$$ investment, but years of work was for free. Someone should buy that car quick and enjoy the heck out of it. They are only original once.
 
Just so everyone knows this is not my car and I do not have any interest in its sale. I do however know the collector who owned it previously and the selling dealer who has been locating and selling cars such as this for over 50 years. I inquired about this car years ago but the timing was off for me. Hopefully someone who can thoroughly understand what this car represents and can appreciate its condition will step up and give it a great home and hopefully show it under Mel's survivor tent as soon as possible so we ALL can appreciate this piece of automotive history the way they were.
