On almost every Mother’s Day, I take Mom out for a ride in her 68 Charger. Although she’s been gone for almost 40 years, when I hold the wheel I feel her presence, and can picture her in the same seat that I’m sitting in smiling from ear to ear. I know she loved that car, it was her baby, and even though I can’t see her anymore I know she’s with me.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mopar moms out there!,

My mom has been gone since 2016,but when mom was still here, she drove this! I had a cool mom! Happy Mothers day Mom! I miss you!

You're a good man & good son @Moms68
I lost my mom when she was 69 from complications of MS
about 15 years ago

she loved driving my 68 Charger R/T
she'd reluctantly take it when all the other cars were blocked in
& my Charger was usually the last car on the driveway

But she loved it for the huge trunk

Great stuff!

My mom bought a '70 500 brand new.

It was F8 dark green, green vinyl top, green interior, 318, factory a/c.

My cousin totaled it, sometime around '78 I think.

I bought my '70 500 last December, it was an hour from where mom lives in FL. I crashed at her place, went and got it, unloaded it off the trailer to take her for a spin around the neighborhood, and she was overwhelmed. It was SO cool. She got in and started touching all the stuff - the shifter, the wheel, the switches...I could see the memories flooding back. "I never should have given mine to Bill...", she mumbled under a big grin.

Mine's a pretty darn close match to hers, down to the wheel covers, but it's F4 light green instead of her dark green. Everything else, though...is right, and original.

She'll be coming up to visit for her birthday (7/11)...and we're bringing my 500 to Carlisle together.

...I do not recommend asking how old she is...just sayin'...

No shortage of great Moms out there, ours just have the extra cool factor. I’m still amazed at how many times I get asked the question “do you still have your Mom’s Charger?” from guys that are now in their 60’s!!

My parents bought their 70 Charger R/T SE 440 auto new,it was our family car from 1970 until 1982. It was F8 green with a green interior, and a green vynal top.

:bananadance:for all the great Moms out there
& their sons (daughters) that love them

Smiley cool but -you're not dropped of by Mrs. Landy cool-.jpg

LOVE THESE MOM STORIES!! Mom had 70 Caddy CDV, she had a "heavy right foot"!! They had a 66 Polara Police Inerceptor for a cab back in day, dad wouldnt let mom drive it, he said he had no bail money because of her foot. So to all those "hot rod" moms, your sons listened, watched and are "carrying on the family tradition"!! THANKS MOM!!
