At first I thought this was a thread for the blue forum...

Love me some beaver for sure! 440'

Since I retired, I have time to watch some old reruns. Leave it to Beaver has been fun. I think in the earliest episodes, they had a Ford. But from 1960 on, his dad always drove a new Plymouth. The last two years, 62 and 63, they were B body Furys. They even had a fender bender and crunched a front parking light of the 63 in the last season.
Of course, I also noticed the typical Hollywood automotive goofs. Several times, I saw them start out in one vehicle, and arrive in a different. It was especially funny once when Ward left in the 62, and showed back up later in the big old 61 Fury. I guess nobody was supposed to notice the difference.... LOL

Technically he's running towards the car.

Picky on details, are we? LOL That is the opening credit for the show in 1962. The whole family actually gets in the car to back out of the driveway. You can see the rear glass has been removed. I would guess to eliminate reflections from the camera crew.

We watch it every morning, surprisingly my kids (10 and 13) love it! It's is funny I'll admit!

Chrysler was one of the sponsors. You'll see 880s, Plymouth Furys (1958), Dodge Darts in the background as extras.

I always liked the missing rear window in this shot.

Here's a shot from "The Parking Attendants". I thought it was illegal to swap license plates?

One of my favorite quotes "A little hard on the beaver last night, weren't you Ward."

At least theirs had windshields, unlike the Beverly Hillbillys

"Nice beaver" "Thanks I just had it stuffed " That quote from the Naked Gun 33 1/3 movie was funny as hell.

a lot of the late 50's & 60's TV shows, even into the 70's
were using MoPars/Chrysler Corp cars

The lil' TV I do watch, is mostly that old stuff
can't stand the **** on TV today, outside of some of the car crap...
Even then;
I hate the advertisers, pushing crap I don't/won't comply with

Hey Wally, where's the Beav?

Tastes like a mother...
just made it
