Fair enough, I have driven in many, but not behind the wheel. Not sure what part I wouldn't understand, I see them putting on flashers and chugging slowly up hills here all the time.
It looks like even the car shows on TV are going green with woke BS!

I think you worry too much.....has your government ever actually said they are going to ban classic cars (or even just "old" cars) in favour of electric? Don't think I've seen that said. You might not be able to buy a new ICE car in a few years (but I think that might be a while off in a place as huge as the US....pretty easy in a country like the UK where nothing is more than 837 miles away! (the distance from Lands End to John O'Groats)) but I've seen nothing that will stop you driving them. Our government has put that into law. We can continue driving our old car (petrol and diesel) until we don't want to anymore or they fall apart. Cant imagine it will be much different there....even in the current "People Socialist Republic of America"! Fuel wont be an issue here (the price might I guess) as petrol will be needed for petrol powered vans, trucks and motorcycles, the low emission Hybrid vehicles that can still be used for a few years after 2030...even lawn mowers! (EV law does not apply to them) and diesel will still be needed for heavy good vehicles (SEMIs as you say) until a viable, affordable alternative is commonly available so my modded diesel ALFA can stay on the street!"....for a long time after the 2030 ICE ban for new cars....I wont be driving much after 2050 anyway as (hopefully) Ill be 83 by then!
So if folks want to drive EV's ("none for me thankyou!")...that's great....more fuel left for me and lots of cheap ICE cars for the enthusiasts to buy up! Most folks wont care what powers their car or how a few 100 lb of batteries affects the "on the limit" handling....they are not "car people"....just want cheap, reliable transport to get from A to B....that why I think you will see that any objections to the change to EVs will be relatively minimal.

My cars are outlawed in my state,it is just a matter of when they choose to inact it. By 2040 no fossil fuel powered vehicles will be allowed to be registered or operated in the state,our classic cars are the low hanging fruit,considered to be gross polluters,we will be the first ones on the chopping block!

They are governed through the computer especially if they are fleet trucks. The large freight companies don't want speeding tickets and the liability that goes along with it. Independent operators have them opened up.

I don't think electric trucks will fair a whole lot better under weight and incline. Inclines obviously add weight. (Not mass, but gravitational weight to the ground.) And there is an old saying of all things? In horse racing. "Weight will stop a freight train."
