just a heads up for guys who can't seal SS brake lines or steel lines you need to use Parker 2Gf-3 45 degree fittings 3/16 to seal correctly. Well worth the money. They work great!!!

As an alternate to your suggestion, consider using a SWAGE-LOK type fitting. Its is similar to your suggestion but uses a double ferrule compression sleeve and will seal better against a higher pressure snd is almost immune to vibration. Most brake lines use a double flared end in conjunction with an inverted flare nut and seat. products.swagelok.com to view their products. They can seal to 11,000 psi with compression fittings, depending on size. Just something to consider....

Just take your time and "coin" them. I've sealed Life Support Systems, for Our Finest, it's all about method...

SECO seals are the same concept.
Use them on stainless AN / JIC fittings.
Guys at NASA turned me on to them

That’s pretty cool. Thanks. I’ve been changing to nick/copp lines just cause they’re so much easier to bend, flare and seal.

A dab of Teflon paste on the flare will seal them. Sounds hokey, but it works. I didn't believe it either. That was 25 years ago. Never had an issue since.

How do you keep the seal in place while installing them so they don't fall off the end of the brace line?

I have had trouble sealing my new brake lines, so I just purchased the Parker 2Gf-3 45 degree fittings 3/16 to seal correctly. Do you place them on the end of the brake line flare while installing?

Use a little grease to hold them in place.

Put them on the flare with a little grease to hold it in place till you tighten the connection.

I received my order today, they are much smaller than I expected. I will give it a try this weekend.

They are very small, but they work great.
