Fatherhood

Divorce lawyers are all well and fine if you can
afford them. What chance does a combat vet
with PTSD and traumatic brain injury on SSDI
have of hiring a lawyer to represent him?
Slim and none. I haven't seen two of my 7
grandkids since they were babies. 15 yesrs.....

....I don't know how it all works out my friend, but I do know this; just be the best grandad you can be with what you have, and work on sunrises and sunsets. Life is about creation and time. Its been a long time for me since the Marines but my injuries hurt more, and I have 2 kids almost grown and a wife who never got my car hobby, hehe. I'm sure today, tomorrow and in the years to come I'll get to see a lot of chaos if I'm lucky....

Damn I like her

never been divorced
but a bunch in my family have been
a few a couple times over too
my dad 3 times & he had a long-term live-in GF
(over 4 years, think Lee Marvin domestic partner laws)
that took him to the cleaners,
all his dollars are worth a quarter maybe :poke:

My mother, his 1st wife got almost nothing,
$105 child support for 3 kids, $35 a child in 1961
(I was 18 months old)
my mom didn't want his money, he was cheating on her
she just wanted him gone, out of the house...
We went to his place every other weekend
until he was remarried, (what a beautiful lady)
"he still was chasing skirts" & you'd think he'd have learned...
Then I would spend whole summers
& weekends during the school year, until he moved to his ranch
my 2 older sisters, would come sometimes, then another divorce...

Rinse & repeat, then his 3rd wife (what a bitch)
& now 4 adopted kids 2 younger brothers
& 2 more younger sisters, a nice ranch in ElDorado co.
I moved in with him when I was leaving 9th grade
until I graduated HS class of 1977' baby

He moved again with the 3rd wife/bitch, for her occupation
(he put her thru school)
Psychologist for a public school up north in Yreka Calif. area
this time she did to him what he did to #1 & #2 wives...

Not hardly a pot to piss in & a window to throw it out of...
he moved back to the Sierras & in comes his long-term GF/bitch #4
he came home one evening after work (Sonora School district),
bus driver, security & maintenance officer, to an empty house
she took all his stuff, left him a bed & a couple of pans...

Now he lives with me...
An empty nester/widower...

fun times
