Can someone please explain tattoos?

For them its more about just having anything than it is the tat itself. I dont sport tattoos . Never seen a reason for it.
My son has a few. But there of either cars hes had and liked. Or of his family heritage , mostly his Moms Viking ancestry.

I know if my wife got one when she was young. It would of been a seed. As the years went by. It would of been a watermelon. :D
 
I have an asterisk on my right bicep. It was the start of a marijuana leaf on drunken night when I was 16. I said stop and glad I did. Been wanting to get a scat pack tattoo with the wheel covering it for some time.
 
My youngest daughter has a set of lips on her *** and the bathing suit covers so it is only shown when she wants it to be shown

It's from Leviticus which is a book quoted a lot by the people who condemn gay people. I don't think any religion has ever gotten things right. Here's more of that.

So many Christians pick and choose from the Bible. Take about 3 steps back from your religion and take a real look at it.

In the Old Testament, the religious prohibition against tattoos was based on the establishment of Monotheism. Idol worship was forbidden and identifying with pagan religions was also forbidden.
Tattoos were part of many pagan religions. That's why they were prohibited. Those who believe in the Bible and live by the guidelines laid out make their own choice. The reality is our civilization is based on Judeo-Christian morals. That is not to say that every practitioner is a moral person. We're all only human with human failings. To each his own.

The truth. I was a kid and decided that would not work out too well. Our current City Administrator asked me "Is that a asterisk?" when he was the planning director and I was like its a drunken night when I was 16. He, they, and any one else that might care gets it.
 
My son is a tattoo artist, and a good one too. That said, he knows that I hate tattoos, and I hate every one he has on him. Love him, can't stand the tattoos.
My position is that there is NOT ONE one of his tattoo's that have improved the way he looks. As far as I'm concerned he was perfect from the day he was born, and tattoos add exactly NOTHING to his appearance.
I've never seen anything that was so cool I had to have it permanently inked onto my skin.
 
I have a wedding ring tattoo. Best investment ever. No scratching rings, paint on cars, worried about open electrical contacts, etc…. Not to mention forgetting to put a ring back on after working on the car or someone else’s car, forgetting where you put it, bla bla bla. Branded for life and proud of it.
