Calculate your BMI

someone is bored & has way too much time :poke:

that site is an extreme 'cookies' monster too

Bmi calculators are a joke, I'm 6'5" 277lbs it says my bmi is 32.8,obese. My ideal weight should be 150 to 220 lbs. I haven't weighed 220 since I was 19 years old. In my best shape I had 9% body fat and weighed 255.:jackoff:

Don’t join the military, you’ll be on the fat boy program all the time. And the measure men different from women. A woman can have a full duffle for an *** but if her wrists are thin, she’s good to go.

Yes the BMI is not a perfect measure. But it's better than any others. If you are in the military it will be corrected for your body fat. Congratulations on staying in good shape!

Good shape? Nope at one time I was 310and the muscle is sliding south lol. But you never loose muscle which is what they don't account for. But thanks for the encouragement.

30. The military always said 26 was the high end for me to be in good shape. I have been out of the service for 6 years.

Those online calculators do not work! They will for a very slender individual. Since muscle weights more than fat, that’s what makes them inconsistent. For example take a 25 year old male that is 6’0 and weighs 235. He is a fullback in the NFL. You get the picture of that body.. now take a 25 year old that is 6’0 and weighs in at 235 and sits on the couch gaming all day. You know this one as well! Put their info into the calculator and you get the same result. 32 which is considered obese. We all know they are not the same. There are much better ways to get your true BMI! Dexa scans are very accurate and Hydrostatic weighing can be effective if done properly. The person must exhale completely for it to be accurate. That can be an issue.

Truthfully, eat a good balanced diet, little strength training, little endurance training, little cardio training and some flexibility exercises and you won’t have to worry about your BMI!

According to the chart, results are re-calculated based on age, since age is one of the inputs I think.

If you calculate your BMI and you can't figure out if your condition you need a mirror.

Now, why the eFF would I do this? :)

Will I stop drinking my favorite beer? Nope
How about giving up pulled pork? Nope, not that either.
How about our local Johnson Farms apple pies? Nope.
Ben and Queery’s ice cream? Not giving it up, still eating it.

It’s like Bill Orielly said: screw the sprouts, give me another slice of the Boars Head.

I try to eat good but still eat the not so good for ya food....but just much less of it. Need to exercise more but man, when you get old, you hurt just getting out of bed!

Fat Boy program is LONG GONE my friend.....

It is? Been out for a while. Thanks Ski!

28 and holding. That 10 extra pounds is due to my love for anything that tastes good.

23.4, right in the middle of the green. And i eat and drink like an unsupervised eight year old . (Just had a slice of coconut cream pie, and a coke [oops, Sam's cola, boycotting woke coke], for breakfast.)
Good genes, i guess.
