68 Coronet R/T are the stock valve covers chrome or turquoise painted? I know that my 20K mile original Barracuda Formula S had chrome valve covers, just not sure about the B body line in 68.

Jerry I’m sure the experts will come along shortly but I think the valve covers were painted

My semi educated guess also, you might know I have chrome ones but no 68 painted ones.

Yep, chrome were '67 only - which didn't keep me from hunting a set down for my '68. :)

I got a set of like '72 ones if you need something to keep the dust out of something, Jerry.

A set of chrome direct connection covers on it now, plus I have some 67 chrome originals that are about the same. Thanks Ed.

May I present Exhibit A, my unrestored 68 Charger R/T.

The defense rests.

Jerry,
I looked this morning I have a few sets of 69’ and a couple sets of 70’ but no 68’ covers.

1968 was the last year for chrome valve covers on a B body
