Im looking through my 70-71 mopar parts manual and was wondering what does r1,w1,b2 and j2 mean? I know the letters mean Belvedere charger barracuda and challenger. But what do the numbers one and two mean?

The numbers are a model designation, and six and eight cyl. cars were different models in the early cars, as noted in the VIN. The C bodies used 1,2, and 3 for different models, and the designation was in the early parts manuals. What I stated above is correct for A, B, and E bodies I believe.
