My '69 GTX (My 2nd) is my favorite car I've ever owned. However. Like everything in life. There are a couple things I would have done different if I was on the engineering design teams back in the day? And my #1 complaint?

Fuel inlet. I understand that putting the fuel inlet behind the rear license plate solved a couple cosmetic and truck design issues. But overall? Not the greatest idea. It's not very convenient. It doesn't allow for any vented cap to be used. (Which would solve a couple newer issues arose from today's fuels.) And I'm pretty sure it's not as safe as higher side or top mounted inlets?

Thank you for listening to me whine.

Not a design change. but I wished they would have fully dipped ALL the unibodies in primer instead of just to the tops of the fenderwells. And I wished they would have carried the 2nd generation charger over for one more year.

Holesaw into the trunk floor:poke:
I saw a guy last summer freak at the gas station, blaming the owner because his Chevelle, if I remember right, wouldn't fill cause it was too low and angled the fill nozzle downward.:lol:
He was a dick.

Whine my ***, your right. My Coronet is like that and I don't like it. You can use the license bracket from a Caprice or from an 82-92 Camaro . They stay down while filling and then pulled up and stay up.!! I know, no GM crap on my Mopar, but it works great, at least when filling.

The windshield could be angled back more. Doesn’t look too bad on the roof cars. Pretty noticeable on the convertible’s.

The front lip on the rear wheel well on a fastback Charger.
I get the look of the design and agree with it... but should have brought it about an inch forward somehow

On the rust theme: the way they designed most rear windows that allows them to fill up with crap and rust in no time.

I wish that they would have built the 68-70 style through the end of 74.
I never warmed up to the third gen styling.
As far as complaints about my own B body? I’ll have to get back to you.

Not enough adjustability in the upper control arms.

Both of my 66 Belvederes had factory AC and on a hard turn, whoever was sitting on the passenger side got their feet watered. Other than that.....I liked both. On the next gen B's, I didn't like the gas fill behind the plate and disliked the dumb glove box door opening upwards even more. What jackwagon thought of that crap?! If you took off from a light and the door wasn't shut good, it would open and all contents were going to the floor.

I hate the big radius where the quarter meets the rocker. Way bigger than the radius on the lower corner of the door.

I don't have that fuel filler issue on my b body!

Heater control valve under the dash ready to leak anti-freeze all over the carpet with one lousy O-ring the diff btw a major leak and none; well they had to put it somewhere. Tiny fuse block when there was plenty of room to have made it larger. I’ll stop here. After restoring my ride I could continue with a full screener.

I'm surprised "Electrical" issues haven't been brought to forefront more? But I'm guessing someone will?

Also. Does jogging the engine mounting to the right actually help with torque twist? Having engine centered would made hood designs easier. With more options?

Many reasons for the offset driveline,, but mainly;
Steering- nobody likes the engine hitting the steering box (pump there too)
Brakes- where else are you putting that equipment
Starter
Battery
Weight distribution w single driver
Diff- pinion has to sit on one side of the ring gear or another
Etc
Etc

It was posted about particular gen's of mopars that left us too soon. One was the 1970 RR/GTX/Satellite body style. In so many ways mopar got this right IMO, much as I like the '68-69's, chit...the 70 only got ONE year. Very sad IMO..
