how do i get the clutch off my ac compressor. 73 ssp. thanks

Run a 5/8 coarse thread (believe it is 5/8) bolt down the center of it.

V-type?

You have to leave the belts on and energize the clutch. to keep compressor from turning,,,, BUT you might not like this but I worked flat rate back in the day. Remove the belts, Take a plastic hammer in your right hand and cradle the pulley assy with you left hand to catch it, Rap the pulley square on the ridge between the two belt grooves and it will pop of with no damage,,,,

Be very careful not to over thing this. Jim nailed it. Use the bolt. I did my RV2 unit that way and it came right off......after sitting for 40 years.

Unit is off the car, not putting it back on just wanted to use bracket with after market unit
