I have what i think is a replacement motor on my 72 Charger SE. It's painted silver. I thought these were black. I'm going for the original look. What color were they from the factory? Thanks.

I've been using that product called Zinc-It for that look. Not sure if it's a good approximation or not.Zinc plated originally on A/C cars, no paint that I've seen.
I have used a Stainless paint on my restorations.
