Gen III Hemi crate

No thanks. I'd rather ask Kern Dog how many miles he has on his gen 111 hemi. It is a 5.7, but that's really of no consequence .

Grind a groove in each lifter or machine out the lifter bore and bronze bush them with grooves.

Grind a groove in the lifter body to the roller. Problem solved.

If you watch enough of these videos you will see that there is no definitive answer to the failures, however the guy on reignited touches on this multiple times through a variety of videos and having been a Mopar tech I believe his conclusions have weight. His conclusions are that this "issue" is an anomaly that happens to a small percentage of the engines produced and is not the result of a design flaw (as stated by UTG), more likely it is a combination of issues not the least of which is sourced materials.

I have owned 4 5.7's and while I cannot say that I will never have this issue, I haven't yet. My 05 Durango had 80K on it without issue, my 14 Ram 2500 has 40K on it, my 10 Challenger RT has 24K on it (my 19 Crate has 0...).

I know some like UTG but I do not, I don't care that he worked for a magazine or anything else, some of the crap that comes out of his mouth is stupid and wrong which calls into question everything that comes out of his mouth. He is not an engineer and while he might think he "knows" engines, he is making statements based on opinion and "feeling". Conversely the guy on Reignited is a Mopar tech and worked at a dealership for over 10 years, worked on and serviced 5.7's for a very long time, I choose to listen to a guy who has worked on hundreds of engines verses a guy who has looked at perhaps a couple.

But hey, its America and everyone can choose to believe what they want.

The design of the lifter valley and rockers i feel is better then what i am used too with real 426 Hemis. What i always wondered was how chrysler has been able to sell hte gen 3 motors as Hemis when in fact they are not. Real Hemis have true Hemispherical combustion chambers which gen 3 do not. THe thinking is the pent valve chamber design is hte best they could provide to meet pollution bs. I wish they would offer a racing head with a true hemi chamber this motor would be unreal.

I feel the same way about fake breasts as you do about Gen 3 Hemi's. They shouldn't even call them breasts, but maybe bumpers.
