Pics from Back in the Day

Made me think of Bill Flynn's car. He crashed it screwed him up. He was working at B&B Performance in Branford Ct. Was there to pickup some parts talked with him awhile. Could tell he was still affected from crash a year later.

Love those early Pro Stockers. Charlie ran a Colt with the oem 4 cylinder in it.

Charley worked for Gary Ostrich who did experimental work for Chrysler Corp. They modified a 383 block to accept Hemi heads for a pro stock powerplant.

When I was pumping gas in the late 60's the average price up here was 49.9 cents a gallon, and our gallon is 20 percent larger than yours.
Late 60s in Va at the Sonoco station I worked had 260 for 34.9 cents a gallon, 190 was 27.9 cents.

Where you are fences make bad neighbors?
From the construction, can you tell he was a prison guard?!! His wife was bi-polar and barren, couldn't accept the fact that the "kids" next door owned their own house, had classic cars and three kids at the age of 24!
