I ordered a rebuilt power steering box for a customer car a '68 New Yorker at the local oreileys parts store and I got what looked to me like the wrong one. But they say that is the new replacement for it so I tried it.
It required the coupler to be out a little further out than I like, so input shaft is a bit shorter, but it fit.
Car only has 1/2 the power it had before and foams the fluid up constantly.
Has anyone seen these or experienced this issue?

Remember you can always loosen off the three nuts holding the column mount bracket under the dash and move it forward a bit to correct the coupling issue.

I did that hoping to get it within factory measurements, luckily it has a telescoping steering column because wheel was close to dash .
Thanks
