'67 Coronet R/T Fender Tag Help Needed

Friend has a 67 Coronet R/T...he asked me to come over and help him with the fender tag decode.....I'm confused about a few of the codes on the tag (the ones in red)

ab-64 is bucket seat console car
j4 - moulding - body sill - narrow (I'm not sure where this is)
A1 - 26" radiator
F3 - Coronet R/T package
R1 - 2watt AM radio
15- The number 5 is under the 1 on left side - Drip rail moulding or body side moulding? (not sure about this one either)
AX - 3.23 rear gear suregrip
TRM-P6W - white and black interior
PNT-PP1 - Bright Red
UBS - B says upper door frame paint is black (What part of door do I look at?)
UBS - W says Horizontal accent stripe is supposed to be white (Please clarify about the stripe, I have never seen one on a Coronet)
WS23 - Coronet R/T 2 door hardtop
83 - 440hp 4bbl
5 - Automatic transmission
485 - 7.75 x 14 redwall (all 5 tires) (need clarification on this please)
331 - production date of March 31st, 1967
06823 - production line order number

Any help that anyone can give on the items in red would be appreciated, thanks

I'm happy to help out as best I can! Although, I'm not as familiar/confident with '66-'67 stuff. But that's not to say I can't provide some helpful info.

- Regarding Narrow Body Sill Moulding, I'm not sure enough to be confident in saying. I'm sure someone will know for sure.

- As for 5 under 1 (15), I have Drip Trough Moulding. (25 is Drip Rail Moulding) (55 is Body Side Moulding)

- Regarding UBS, the part you would look at is the exposed bare metal of the inside of the door that isn't covered by the door panel.

- White Horizontal Stripe. Once again, I'm not for sure, so I won't say. Don't want to "mislead" anyone!

- As for the tire code, that's what I've got: 7.75 x 14 Red Streak Tires

J4 on the narrow sill between the vent window and the end of the rear quarter window, both sides.
The white stripe runs the top body line. It's about a 1/8 wide from the front of the front fender to the end of the rear quarter.

I believe the J4 is the bright molding on the rocker sill between the wheel wells. These were standard on all R/T's, along with wheel well moldings. The R/T does not have the molding Jerry describes at the top of the door. The horizontal stripe is a double line stripe that runs the top body line as Jerry says. I have never seen the lower door wide stripe ( looks like a Fairlane stripe ) shown in the ad on an actual car. Another ad shows not only the stripe at the upper body line, but also another at the lower body line. I have never seen this treatment on an actual car either. Cars that got factory redline tires actually got 5 of them, including the spare. Just as cars that got whitewall tires always got 5 of these. I hope this helps. I own a 1967 R/T.

I only show drip rail moulding and body side molding in the book, nothing for drip trough moulding

everything on the inner front doors that is not covered by the door panel is red...which part again is supposed to be black? (I assume someone painted the car wrong then)

The top part of the stripe is correct other than being to big. The lower part of the stripe is not supposed to be there.
The door frame picture on this car is red, but if it were black, the door panel would be the only red. Ofcourse the chrome strip at the top of the door panel would be the same.

I have heard and seen more than one picture that shows the car with two stripes....I'm just trying to find out which one is correct, or if they both were

yes the rear upper trim is also black . the fron dorr will be black from the seal inward

I exactly duplicated the factory stripe when I re-painted my original 67 R/T. It had the top double stripe only.

It doesn't always show up to well in pics since the car is dark red and the stripe is black.

The paint treatment on the door is correct for this interior trim colour. The black upper and lower door paint came on cars with black interior ( obviously ), or white interior. The white interior cars also came with black dash, console, package tray, seat belts, and carpets.

Yes, the black continues to the upper rear panels. As stated the entire door frame will be black from the seal out.
I also forgot that the Dodge got the double stripe on the upper body line while the Belvedere got the single stripe.

What is the colour of your headliner? They would typically match the colour of the headliner.

The headliner of my 66 Charger is black, white was never offered. This car has white sun visors from the factory.

The Coronet in question which this thread is about has a black headliner and black sun visors....the question still remains unanswered, should the sun visors be white with a white interior in the car?
