I'm picking up parts for the conversion process - are the brake lines the same? So far I haven't seen anyone mention changing the lines or distribution block. I've got to get a new master cylinder because my original was roached out. My plan when I started was to do the minimum necessary to get my car back on the road, but I got a little carried away when I saw ScareBird's rear disc conversion brackets and realized there was an affordable option for rear discs. Now I've got a set of drilled and slotted Mark VII rotors and I'm planning on doing the 13" rotors and Viper calipers in front. I've got a little more research to do on that one since I'd like to drop the front an inch or two. I've seen a bracket that will allow the Viper caliper to be mounted to the drum spindle, and I've seen drop spindles, but I haven't seen a Viper caliper on a drop spindle yet. It must be out there.

Look up Pirate Jack they make for everyone. You will find on Ebay as well. are your brake lines solid or rusting out? Distribution block is different for combo disc drum combo vs drum only.

I put new brake lines for drums on, and a new drum distribution block. Then I saw the Scarebird brackets . . .

Thanks, I understand that the rears don't do a whole lot compared to the fronts but drums would look awfully funny paired with 13" front rotors and Viper calipers.
Does anyone know if the lines are different?

I would skip the 13 inch rotors and viper calipers and pads very expensive to replace and they dont last long or are needed unless you like red calipers then paint yours red.

I'll keep it in mind in case things go south but for now it's not a problem.
