My supplier just offered me a super deal on the 2.200" Chevy journal 4.15" stroke cranks, so I am going to pass the saving on to you guys. This deal is only on the 2.200" rod journal cranks and not available on the 2.375" journal cranks. This price break will only be available until July 31st.

$699 to your door in the 48-states.

New RPM brand 4340 4.15" stroke crankshaft for RB. 2.200" Chevy rod journals, 6-bolt flange, 6.800" minimum rod length. Pre-Balanced Bobweight: 2550 grams. In a .030" over block this crank will make 493 cubic inches. With .055" over block it makes 499 cubic inches.
According to Kim (Oldkimmer) the RPM brand is of a higher quality than the cranks from 440 Source. I can sell this delivered to your door in the 48-states for $699. This is $204 less than a 440 Source crank delivered would cost. Thanks to the new tax laws I now only accept PayPal Friends and Family, Bank Check, or Personal Check with time allowed for check clearance.

Thanks for looking,
Tom

I was asked a few questions about the crank journal width and if this was a 2.375" Mopar journal crank that was cut down to Chevy size. So I am posting this information. The crank is not a cut down crank and was manufactured with a Chevy journal and the correct Chevy crank journal width to allow use of BBC rods. I made an inquiry and was told the crank journal width on this model crank is 2.0089"

Sorry I didn't post this earlier as some people have probably assumed it's a cut down 2.375" crank.

Thanks for the questions.

Tom

Special price has been extended through the month of August.

So still $699 delivered to your door

Is that for a B block or RB block main bearing size?
I like the 2.200" rod journals.

Is that the DG3-440D part number? 440 mains, 4.15" stroke, 6-bolt flange?
Asking because I noticed they also sell a 8-bolt flange version.

The crank in this ad is a DG3-440E-4150 part number with 2.200" Chevy rod journals.

440 RB main journals
4.15" stroke
6-bolt flange

For your reference the DG3-440D-4150 part number for 2.375" Mopar rod journal

Thanks,
Tom

Looking for a "B" block stroker crank. It does not look like they offer that stroke/rod journal for the low deck motors?

You're in luck. I am also a Molnar dealer and can sell you the follow cranks for a 383/400 block.

However while not priced as economical as the RPM cranks they are available and of the finest quality.

Could a guy use a bbc 6.76 rod with this crank or would he run into problems?

RPM claims that it requires 6.800". However I've wondered that myself since a 6.76" rod is only .040" shorter. The short answer is NO, but my gut tells me it would probably work, but I can't sell you one and say it will based on what RPM states.. If I was needing one for myself and had a set of 6.76" rods I could make it work even if I had to turn down the counterweights .040". Sorry I can't be more helpful on that question.

No problem. I've got a 440 that spun a rod bearing was thinking bout upping the stroke so thank you for this info.

Got an email from my supplier today. The crank special will still be in effect for the month of September.

Tom

Tom, can you get an 8 bolt one of these?

Illustrating, again, my ignorance: I have a stock HP 413 sonic ram motor in pieces. Would this crankshaft fit, and increase cu in to...what? And would the 284 Street Hemi cam be correct for the resulting combo? Thanks.

The crank will fit and would yield 456" with a stock 4.18" bore. Boring the 413 block .030" over would yield 462"

A Hemi cam is not the same as a B or RB cam, so on that one I am going to say No.

Thanks,
Tom

Well I hadn't planned to update this anymore, but deal has been extended through October 31st now. So buy one before China shuts off the pipeline of low cost speed parts to the USA.
