Beautiful cars. And I get it. With the skyrocketing price of them in the last two years, they have all become something you go to look at behind a roped fence.

Im amazed at how many of those cars have dog dishes. Not knocking it but not sure if Ill use the set I bought for my car.

If you like '66 - '67 Plymouth B bodies, that one's a stunning example. I was admiring it up close when he got there on Friday.

The original owner of my current GTX happened to be the local Plymouth dealer. He ordered the car with dog dish caps, because he didn't care for the trim ring road wheels that replaced chrome rim magnums in 1969. The dog dish caps never saw the road, replaced by 1968 style magnum 500s before the car saw its first mile. The original steelies were used to mount snow tires, and never wore the caps. On the other hand, my frugal dad ordered his Valiant with dog dish caps, and ran them. I don't care what the build sheet says, the GTX will always wear magnums as long as it's on my watch. Glad I've got this photo to document that they were dealer installed.

My moms Charger R/T SE had magnum 500 wheels on it,the Keystones were added later. Whenever we went to the Dodge dealer, most cars had magnum or rallye wheels on them on the lot. Flashy wheels sold cars. Cop cars and Taxicabs had dog dish hubcaps.

Here are some pics of the Hurricane Bird inside. Lots of sand in it.

I tried to make this more readable. The story of the green and blue ‘71 Hemi Chargers is really cool.

Hey, I'm famous, I'm on the internet.... that's me in the green shirt and blue jeans behind the sand filled gauge cluster.
