1969 gtx rear upper shock bracket , support.

1969 gtx , upper rear shock support bracket . Nothing on car I bought . Do they get bolted on . Shows nothing in service manual.

They are welded in, AMD makes them.

If you're really carefull, you can drill some 1/4" holes in the panel where the spot welds are
and mig them in without too much heat damage to the surrounding paint. Prime and paint
the support before you weld it in. You'll have a minimum of touch-up later. Good luck!

All I have is a wire welder , think that would work ?

Is there a specific spot the brace is supposed to be on the frame rails to clear the floor? The bump stop holes and middle braces are in different places on each frame rail while they’re test fitted so I’m not sure I can use them to get the brace in line

Not sure why your bump stop holes are different, they should be identical side to side. The shock attach bulkhead and it's different length tabs will only sit properly in one location.

These are the bump stop holes relative to the middle reinforcement, and the tabs are also in different places and are different sized on the frame rails for where the braces should line up

As long as the brace is close to square and level around the area of the tabs it should clear the floor and be good enough ?

The floor is a little crooked but this is where I’m at
