My application for a bonded title was
approved today !
I'll finally be able to get 'er on the road
after registration and insurance.
The application took 6 months to
process.

Congrats!!! I have to do the same with my ‘68. It’s out of Arizona, and I waited too long to take advantage of the Vermont “loop hole”. They will no longer do any out of state vehicles.

Thanks. Ed
Long time coming. i'm really anxious
to start driving it.
The first component built for this
truck (the 440) was done in 1993.
I bet you are, my friend. There's lots of "y'all" in that old girl!
We gotta get a video of you driving it, eh?

I'll shoot a video as soon as the plate
is bolted on.
You got a youtube channel? I don't,
but I could PM it for someone to
upload for me.

I investigated that route myself. They
also won't process an out of state car
that's older than 15 years.
Your car doesn't have to be running to
start the bond process. It's quite time
consuming. Your car insurance
can assist you with obtaining the bond.
All told from start to title in hand it
took a year.

I keep hearing that but just did it, if you go to their website doesn't make mention about it, but when you search it ,it pops up that they are not doing it but it is someone else that tells you that and what you can do.

Didn't take but a month or so. They charge 6% tax based on nada value, cost $736.00

This process also will not work in
states that are "title for title", as
Vermont only sends a registration
for your car. No Vermont title is
issued. States like NM will not issue
a title based solely on a registration.

Don't know about that I have registered in Vermont, and can drive it ,here I just transfer to my state, works?

Is WV a title for title state? If not, you
should be able to get a title. You'll
still have to jump thru a few hoops
at your DMV though.

When did you send for it? It just stopped on July 1st I heard.

Don't know about that I have registered in Vermont, and can drive it here.
I just looked up for WV. It looks as
they are a title for title state. Your
Vermont registration cannot be used to
get WV title, and you will have to go
through the bonded title process.
A duplicate title process won't work
either if your car is not a WV car. (not
in their system.)
Your Vermont plate is legal for a year
I presume, after that expires, you will
have to renew thru Vermont.

Congratulations on hitting the pavement with 'er after all this time. Your perseverance is exemplary @1STMP !

My car was out of Arizona in 1986. I bought it in ‘88. The guy didn’t have the title and I figured it wouldn’t be hard to get. I did have the dispatcher at the local PD run it through NCIC. It came back clean. I called Arizona DMV back in ‘13, and they said they expunge all records of cars not registered in 5 years. I’m in Pa. and they are less than helpful to get a title for the car.
