I'm sure they made that movie with old stock film.....it was grainy and hard to watch when it first came out.

Subsequent copies aren't getting any better. I bought a copy from the bay (not Chesapeake) over 10 years ago.....it is poor quality...similar to that which is found on the tube.

I think it was a made for TV ABC Friday night movie. It was good.

Except for the Hemi powered AMC Matador cop cars.

It’s a car / drag race movie. AKA Rebel FromThe Road.
I am still keeping my eye out for a good copy.

I watched it a while back (don’t remember what it was on. )

I mean, nostalgia-wise it’s cool, but really a bad move.

Like it. Is it a "cinematic triumph"? No. Is it simplistic with technical errors aplenty? Yes. But its fun and has some cool cars and good tunes. Released under two or three different names in different markets.
