Nice to see a flat hood cool car, kids love it.
As long as the handlebars are above the tank and pulled back, I'll ride it. That's not a bad bike and I get the intake manifolds you're talking about. Building a bike is like building a car, stock can be nice, but building them to fit your mood has always been who I am. I was asked to help design a motorcycle for a friend. Cost meant nothing and there was no limits on any aspect of its uniqueness. This is the only picture of this bike and the person on it is Will, my friend, who past away this past June. Diabetes and overindulgence in every aspect of his flamboyant life was his trade mark. Every square in of this bike was handmade. It's 25 years old and has less than 500 miles on it. He told me by the time he got home from picking it up from the builder, he knew it was one of the biggest mistakes he ever made. I rode it the other few hundred miles and would have to agree. Hardtail and the bare necessities made this bike miserable to ride, but it was rolling art. I found it covered up in the corner of his garage after he died. He offered me the thing a few times over the years and the answer was always the same, no thanks!! ... so yes, there are things we would do and things we wouldn't. This bike cost a fortune to build 25 years ago and was never worth two dead flies. LOL.... R.I.P.Back when I had my 1400 Intruder, I bought one of these intake manifolds to run a side draft Webber or their EFI.
Never got around to it, though.
Some of the things done to this one I'd not do to mine, but you can see what that intake looks like.
