I have a restored Thermoquad headed my way, so I'm getting the manifold ready to accept it. Amazing how cruddy they get after 30 years.

After scrubbing with Simple Green and a toothbrush, then a couple of cans of carb cleaner, followed by more Simple Green and the pressure washer it still looked kind of crappy. So, out came the blast cabinet.

I was going to paint it, but now I think I will just clear coat it.

Good luck with the clear coat. Most of the ones I've seen used on an intake started to go cloudy or yellow because of engine heat.
Block off the heat cross over passage and paint it light grey if you want to keep that color.
