Best place to get translucent lunch meat and green tomatoes, and no more sweet peppers. The rolls are good though. $13 foot long.
Many years ago I used to go there about once a week for lunch, when I had my own business. It was quick and easy and the with our good friend owning two franchises, we were treated very good. Fast forward a few years ago, the one down the road from me is garbage. I went there once with my wife and the two Indians that owned it started in on the guy in front of us about why they didn't have this or that. I don't do green tomatoes either and not only does the meat look translucent, it looked slimy. We walked out and extended our lives by a few weeks by not eating there. I believe the last time I ate there it was $5.99.

Heck sir, I’ve had a few, mostly from trusting people, when I was much younger. I’ve tried to instill in my kids, you can either do what you want to do the rest of your life, or do what you have to do. The failures are the street smart part. If you love what you do and don’t think you know everything, keep learning, keep the attitude in check, respect people and keep your eyes open, the journey will be easier.
Words to live by!!
Street smart failures, here's one for you. Friday night, I just sat down with Theresa for dinner, the doorbell rings, I get up to answer it. By the time I get there a guy is walking back to the street with a grinder in his hand. I said can I help you, he turns around and says to me, Oh my God your not Lewis. I said no I'm not, he lives around the corner, two doors down. He was well aware I wasn't Lewis, he's black, and you guessed it, I'm not!! Two weeks ago I noticed a hairline crack in the first slab of my driveway and the sidewalk. This guy was grinding the crack in order the fill it with caulk. The only problem was, wrong house!! I don't repair cracks, I replace them with a new piece, with no cracks. The mans falling all over himself trying to apologize while saying, I guess I'm filling yours for free. I said nothing and closed the door and went back to the table to eat. Theresa asked what that was all about and I told her. 5 minutes later Lewis comes to the door, telling me how sorry he is for the screw up and how great the work is that this guy does. I let Lewis ramble like a duck for a few minutes, all the time he's back peddling like a man sinking in quicksand. Lewis knows me, so just staring at him was all I needed to do. When he's done, I told him, I don't do repaired concrete and patted him on the shoulder telling him, don't worry, it was fine, shook his hand and slowly closed the door and went back to the kitchen table. Theresa said, what's going on and I told her, knowing in a few minutes the door bell was going to ring again. The bell rings again and I go to the door. This guys asking if he could use my trash can to block someone from driving on the newly filled crack. He's rambling on about what happened and telling me he was finished with repairing Lewis's and my driveway. I patted him on the shoulder and shook his hand and closed the door. No, I'm not paying him, I don't do gray filled cracks and if I did, I do it myself. Actually, he's lucky I didn't put a foot up his a**, but then again, all three of us knew that. I'm sure at some point Lewis will come by again when things calm down. LOL.

Grinding around a gas tank. Real good idea. Too much work to remove the bed?
I'm sure that it was a lot safer grinding a couple of tack welds off the previously cut access hole, than getting the torches out to remove a 27 year old bed off a 250,000 mile truck!... and a hell of a lot less work.
