I remember we didn't have much money and a family friend got one like it, but in blue. I was so jealous and asked for one, someday was the nice way of saying, no.

I built one for my son and I got the biggest kick out of living vicariously through him. That was more than good enough for me. Super fond memories.
My parents had the money but it was still a NO here too. I ended up trading my chrome Stingray that I got for Xmas for a red little Honda used. O man did I get in trouble, it was fun tell they found out. I read now that the chrome Stingrays were very rare, dang it.

It's funny how most things we had that were everyday stuff, are worth a bunch of money today. That bike and I are both vintage, it's worth more everyday and I'm worth less everyday. How's that fair!! LOL
